Piero Mancini’s Cantina delle Vigne is a solid reality in the Sardinian wine-producing world. A company whose roots lie in the passion of its founder Piero Mancini, which continues to thrive today thanks to the work and passion of his wife Marisa and their children: Antonio deals with the technical and administrative part, Alessandro is in charge of the agronomic and commercial side, Laura is head of marketing and communication, while Marisa contributes to the company’s development by offering her precious advice.
All the family is committed to continuing the production philosophy based on the “Climate-Soil-Vineyard” trio, a balance of elements that – if expertly managed and respected – takes great wines from the soil to the glass.
The total extension of the vineyards is about 120 hectares, all situated in Gallura: Balajana, Scolombrino, Montelitu and Ciabattu are among the most suitable areas for the cultivation of Vermentino di Gallura DOCG, the only Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin in Sardinia.
The company’s production range offers different types of Spumante: from single-variety Vermentino di Gallura to those made with more international vine varieties. The line also includes important wines produced from red vine varieties that are typical of our island, such as Cannonau di Sardegna DOC.
The winery has always stood out for its innovative spirit combined with local tradition and its ongoing research for high quality products. It is located in Olbia, at Cala Saccaia, and it overlooks the sea with a magnificent view of the Gulf. The process of vinification of our grapes is carried out using state-of-the-art plants and technologies that ensure total control over every single phase.
Today, the wines of Piero Mancini’s Cantina delle Vigne are appreciated all over the world: from Ukraine to Canada, from the US to Japan, from Germany to the UK.
